The Ikal GroupA group of young and enthusiastic entrepreneurs joined forces with Prohotel International in 2000 to create one of the most exclusive hotels in Mexico, Ikal del Mar. The name means “poetry of the sea” in ancient Mayan. Situated north of Playa del Carmen along the Riviera Maya, Mexico, Ikal del Mar includes only 29 luxury villas each with its own private pool. The hotel received international recognition for its originality, its authenticity and its outstanding service. The resort has since been sold and is now known as The Tides Rivera Maya operated by the KOR Group and continues to receive this acclaim. Moving forward, the Ikal Group created the ultra luxury community Ikal Living. Consisting of only 15 residences and, of those, 5 are penthouses with rooftop pools, Ikal Living is one of the most exclusive communities in the area. What’s next? – Ikal MendozaThe Ikal Group and Prohotel International are working on a luxury wine lodge and vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina. Importation of the wine has already begun to the United States and Mexico.1150 Wines from Bodega Ikal can be enjoyed in three varietals Malbec, Chardonnay and Cabernet. Ikal Mendoza will consist of a wine lodge and private residences. Each residence will have its own vineyard and is scheduled to open in 2010. Architect - Fernando CampilloWell known architect and designer Fernando Campillo has designed some of the most exclusive homes in Mexico. His caracteristic design elements include abundance of light, use local natural materials, minimalistic impact, and organic flow around the existing nature. |
